Telangana again reports rape of minor girl

Another horrific incident in Telangana state. A nine-year-old child was allegedly raped by a youth, Sumith on Wednesday.

Hyderabad:Another horrific incident in the state of Telangana. Close on heels of brutal rape and murder of a six-year-old child few days ago, a nineteen-year-old youth, Sumith allegedly raped a nine-year-old girl at Mangar Basti on Wednesday. The miscreant was arrested by police and the case was filed at Mangalhat Police Station. As per sources, Sumith was already entangled in a case of pickpocketing.

According to the victim's family, the incident took place at 11 pm on Wednesday and locals who gathered hearing the girl's screaming caught the culprit and handed him over to the police.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Narender Reddy visited the spot and enquired with the locals. The victim was taken to Koti hospital for a medical checkup. Locals demanded stringent punishment of the accused.
