Five women die as roof of house collapses in Telangana

Five women of a family were killed and two others were injured after the roof of their house collapsed in Telangana's Wanaparthy district.

Hyderabad (Telangana):Five women died and two others were severely injured when the roof of their house collapsed in Telangana's Wanaparthy in early hours of Sunday.

The injured were shifted to Hyderabad hospital for further treatment.

The incident took place near Buddharam in Gopalpeta Mandal in Wanaparthy when there were over 11 people in the house who were sleeping in the same room.

The family was together for the occasion of the death anniversary of the elder of the house who had died a year ago.

As the family members were sleeping, the roof which had become wet due to the recent rains suddenly fell down.

Police, with the help of villagers, recovered the bodies trapped in the rubble.
