Hyderabad (Telangana):With the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) looking set for a landslide victory in the Municipal Polls, party Working President KT Rama Rao on Saturday credited the K Chandrasekhar Rao-led government's slew of developmental measures and welfare schemes for the party's success.
It was celebrations at the TRS headquarters in Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills as the party candidates storm in with victory signs and drummers beating the drums to the dance of victory. In the sea of pink stands the man who led the party ensuring that its dominance continuee, KT Rama Rao.
Speaking exclusively to ETV Bharat, Rao, who is also the state IT and Municipal Minister, said that the resounding victory in the municipal elections is due to the "the party having delivered on its promises."
He said that with the win, his responsibilities as the Municipal Minister have increased. He thanked the people for reimposing faith in his party, and also credited the party workers for the victory.
The heir apparent is already an imposing figure who is coming out from the shadows of his father taking up the responsibilities as its working president. On speculations on whether he will be completely taking on the party reins, he said, "leave it at that, just speculations."
