Mission Bhagiratha pipeline bursts in Telangna

A Mission Bhagiratha water pipeline got heavily damaged and following which water gushed out with high intensity damaging the nearby agriculture fields.

Hyderabad:A Mission Bhagiratha water pipeline got heavily damaged during the repair work in Mahaboobnagar district of Telangana.

As a result, water gushed out with high intensity damaging the nearby agriculture fields. The water intensity blocked the traffic as the passengers avoided to commute through the flowing water.

Villagers who were caught in surprise, looked at the fountain emerging from the water pipeline informed the water department. After receiving the information, irrigation department officials rushed to the spot.

Officials said, though gallons of water had been wasted, supply to the villages and Hyderabad city will not be affected.

With Mission Bhagiratha, the government aims to ensure drinking water to each and every household in the state by March 31, 2019.
