Hyderabad (Telangana): Senior IPS officer and Telangana State Police Recruitment Board Chairman VV Srinivasa Rao on Wednesday sustained minor injuries after his official vehicle overturned on the Outer Ring Road in Hyderabad.
According to reports, the IPS officer was on his way back home when the accident took place.
The vehicle might have reportedly lost balance as it had rained yesterday and the road was slippery.
Meanwhile, the police officer has been shifted to a private hospital in Gachibowli where his condition is said to be stable.
Rao belongs to 1987 IPS batch and he is Telangana State Police Recruitment Board Chairman and in-charge director of the State Police Academy.
Earlier in June, Rao was promoted to the rank of additional director general (ADG) of police.
Rao later took charge as the in-charge director of Telangana State Police Academy (TSPA), after TSPA Director VK Singh was transferred by the state government.
