Hyderabad:A 14-month-old baby and his grandmother died while six others suffered critical injuries as a car, allegedly being driven by a minor, rammed into an autorickshaw in Hyderabad's Bowenpally on Sunday. The auto driver was also injured.
According to the police Mahadev, a 14-month-old boy along with his twin, Madav, mother Sandhya Kiran and grandmother Nagamani were travelling from Kukatpally towards Yapral in an autorickshaw when the mishap took place.
The family was on their way to a relative's house for the weekend, police said.
According to eyewitnesses, the impact of the collision was such that the bonnet of the car was severely mangled and went on to ram a few two-wheelers after hitting the auto-rickshaw.
The injured have been admitted to Gandhi hospital for medical aid and condition of three is said to be critical.
