Hyderabad:Telangana police on Wednesday seized a huge consignment of marijuana from many parts of the state. According to police, the seized marijuana is worth Rs 9.28 crore in the international market. About 12 people have been taken into police custody. The seizures were made from Khammam and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts.
Police said that the first seizure was made in Bhadradri Kothagudem district during vehicle checking at Vidyanagar colony in Chunchupalle town. A total of five people were apprehended and taken into custody in connection with the incident.

"While inspecting two lorries loaded with fishes, we found nearly 3,653 kgs of ganja in the boxes. The seized marijuana is worth Rs 7,30,62,000 in the international market. The vehicles were heading to Hyderabad and Haryana from Andhra Pradesh's East Godavari district," police said.
