Hyderabad (Telangana):Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday thanked his Delhi and Tamil Nadu counterparts for their financial assistance towards relief efforts in the flood-hit state.
A tweet from the Telangana CMO said that KCR, over a telephone call, thanked Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for extending Rs 15 crore assistance towards relief efforts in rains and flood-hit Hyderabad. "Hon'ble CM stated that Delhi displayed its generosity through this gesture," the tweet said.
Similarly, Rao also thanked Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami over the phone for the Rs 10 crore financial assistance.
Meanwhile, Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, who hails from Tamil Nadu, also spoke to Palaniswami over the phone and thanked him for his announcement to provide Rs 10 crore to Telangana.
Earlier in the day, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced a donation of Rs 15 crore for relief efforts in flood-hit Telangana, saying people of Delhi stand with residents of the state.
"Floods have caused havoc in Hyderabad. People of Delhi stand by our brother and sisters in Hyderabad in this hour of crisis. Delhi govt will donate Rs 15 cr to the Govt of Telangana for its relief efforts," he tweeted.
