KCR offers prayers at Sri Athi Varadaraja Swamy temple

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao visited Sri Athi Varadaraja Swamy temple in Tamil Nadu. This is KCR's maiden visit after becoming the Chief Minister for the second time in 2018.

Hyderabad:Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his family offered prayers at Sri Athi Varadaraja Swamy temple in Tamil Nadu's Kanchipuram on Monday.

A warm welcome was accorded to KCR by the district collector, temple priests and devotees when he entered the temple premises.

Sri Athi Varadar resembles Lord Venkateswara of Tirumala.

Chief minister offered his prayers amid vedic chants and the head priests honoured him by offering a sacred thread.

Rao was accompanied by his wife, daughter, Minister for Panchayat Raj Ramachandra Reddy, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) general secretary Ravula Sravan Kumar Reddy among others.
