Bee attack: One dead, over 40 injured in T'gana

One person died after a swarm of bees attacked a funeral procession and injured more than 40 with minor wounds. The injured ones were shifted to the Karimnagar hospital.

Telangana: A 57-year-old man died after a swarm of bees attacked him during a funeral procession in Garshakurthi village of Gangadhara Mandal in Karimnagar district on Wednesday.

The deceased, Kolakani Lachaiah, collapsed to the stings of the bees that attacked the funeral procession of his relative who died in a road mishap. He succumbed to the injuries while undergoing treatment at the district headquarters hospital in Karimnagar.

Five more people sustained serious injuries while 40 other escaped with minor wounds. All the injured are being administered treatment at the Karimnagar hospital.
