Hyderabad (Telangana) : A major fire accident was averted as flames that broke out in a building in Telangana's Secunderabad were immediately doused this morning. The fire broke out in the building that housed a hotel and a clothes showroom in the morning hours of Wednesday at the Habsiguda area of the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
On receiving the information, the Police and fire fighting personnel rushed to the spot immediately. Five fire tenders have arrived on the spot and brought the flames under control.
There have been no injuries or casualties reported so far. The extent of damage to property is not immediately known. Immediate efforts were made to douse the fire, said Madhusudan, Fire officer, Secunderabad district. The locals helped in the firefighting operations continued till the flames were put out. The cause for the fire is yet to be determined.
Firefighters came to the spot and brought the fire under control, said Osmania University police station CI, Anjaneyulu. Police stated that a major accident was averted as the fire was controlled before it spread to adjacent buildings.
Earlier on Tuesday evening, a massive fire broke out at a dyeing factory in Ajanta Compound of Dhamankar Naka in Bhiwandi, in Maharashtra's Thane district. On receiving information, fire tenders rushed to the spot and started the operation to douse the fire, an ANI report said. No loss of life or injuries were reported in the blaze.
