Case lodged against unknown persons for posting 'derogatory' video of Malla Reddy

Cybercrime wing of the city police registered a case against some unknown persons who are alleged to post a derogatory video of the Labour Minister Malla Reddy on social media. Meanwhile, police are trying to detect the IP address for further investigation.

Hyderabad(Telangana):The cybercrime wing of the city police on Friday registered a case against some unknown persons for posting on social media a "derogatory" video of the Labour Minister Malla Reddy, officials said.

An official working with the minister told police that a "derogatory and objectionable" video was posted on various social media platforms, police said.

A case has been registered under various sections of the Information Technology Act (IT Act) and the Indian Penal Code (IPC), they said.

The police have started an investigation and are trying to detect IP addresses from which the video was posted.
