Andhra govt official's car catches fire, none hurt

Rana Pratap, an official of Andhra Pradesh endowments departments along with his family escaped when the car in which they were travelling caught fire in Hyderabad. The official halted the vehicle soon after noticing smoke coming out of the engine.

Hyderabad: A government official of Andhra Pradesh endowments department and his family had a miraculous escape when the car in which they were travelling caught fire in Hyderabad.

On Sunday evening, Assistant commission Rana Pratap along with his wife and two children were returning to their residence after attending a marriage ceremony in Madhapur when the car caught fire.

Soon after noticing smoke coming out of the engine, Rana Pratap halted the vehicle on the road and all the passengers got out of it unhurt.

The officer immediately alerted the fire department, but by the time the firefighter arrived at the spot, the car was completely burnt.

Raidurgam police registered a case and are investigating the reason for the fire.
