9-year-old boy strangled to death by his mother

The 30-year-old woman strangulated the boy using a towel in Nalgonda district of Telangana. After the child threatened her mother to reveal her illicit relationship with another man to his father, the woman allegedly committed the crime.

Hyderabad: A nine-year-old child was allegedly strangled to death by his mother in Nalgonda district of Telangana on Friday evening.

The identities of the deceased child and the accused woman are yet to be ascertained.

According to reports, after the child threatened her mother to reveal her illicit relationship with another man to his father, the woman allegedly strangulated her child.

Police said on Saturday that the incident happened last evening in Nalgonda district when the 30-year-old woman strangulated the boy using a towel at home.

The woman's husband works with a borewell drilling firm and used to regularly go out on work, police said.

Based on his complaint, a case of murder was registered and the woman was picked up for questioning and she confessed to killing her son, they added.
