Unruly mob loots truck carrying smartphones near Hosur

A group of people ambushed a cargo truck near Hosur on Bangalore-Chennai highway and made away with smartphones worth several crores of rupees

Hosur (Tamil Nadu): A mob looted branded smartphones from a lorry on Bengaluru national highway near Hosur. The lorry carrying mobile phones was travelling from Chennai to Mumbai.

A mob assaulted the drivers of the lorry after it was stopped in Hosur. Drivers of the lorry Arun and Sathish were injured in the attack. It is learned that smartphones worth many crores of rupees were robbed from the vehicle.

Injured drivers were admitted at a government hospital in Krishnagiri. A special team comprising 10 police officer have formed a team to nab the miscreants and investigation is underway.
