Tuticorin:In a tragic incident, two people died due to asphyxiation while hunting for buried treasure in Nazareth. The deceased have been identified as Raghupathi (47) and Nirmal Ganapathy (17).

Sivamalai (40) and Sivavelan (37), brothers, have been digging a 40-feet deep pit over the past six months believing that there is a treasure in the backyard of their house in Thiruvalluvar colony.
They were also involved in the construction of a seven-foot side tunnel. Manikandan's son Ganapathy and Alvarthirunagari Alamarathan's son Raghupathi from Sathankulam Pannampara accompanied them. It is said that all four of them inhaled poisonous gas.
