Transwoman hoists national flag in Trichy school

M. Sneha who works as a driver in the National Rural Livelihood Mission was invited by the Principal KS Jeevanandan in order to recognise her for her work and dignified life.

Trichy: A transwoman who was invited as the chief guest at the Republic day event at the Subbaiah Memorial Middle School in Tennur, Trichy hoisted the National Flag on Tuesday.

M. Sneha who works as a driver in the National Rural Livelihood Mission was invited by the Principal KS Jeevanandan in order to recognise her for her work and dignified life.

At the event, Sneha not only hoisted the flag but also distributed sweets and addressed the students.

She paid floral tributes to the leaders and she said that teachers are role models for society.

"We can move forward in life if we are determined in our ambition. Having an opportunity like this for people like us helps us move on to the next level with confidence” she said thanking the school for inviting her.
