Mannargudi (Tamil Nadu):The villagers in Tamil Nadu caught a 10-foot-long crocodile by themselves after forest officials turned up late to capture the reptile.
The huge crocodile from Kollidam river has strayed into Sithamalli village in Mannargudi taluk of Tiruvarur district of Tamil Nadu. After spotting the crocodile, the villagers alerted forest officials.
As they have not arrived in time, youngsters from the village caught the crocodile using ropes. The reptile was then tied to a pole and villagers also poured water on the reptile to keep it hydrated.
