TN man kills mother-in-law, beaten to death by mob

A 40-year-old man was beaten to death by a mob when he killed his mother-in-law by stabbing and pouring acid on her in Tamil Nadu's Namakkal district. The police reached the spot and sent the dead bodies for autopsy.

Namakkal (Tamil Nadu): A man was beaten to death by a mob when he killed his mother-in-law by stabbing and pouring acid on her in Tamil Nadu's Namakkal district.

Samuel, 40, often quarrelled with his wife over petty issues. On Saturday when the two got into a fresh altercation, Samual's mother-in-law raised the alarm and gathered the villagers.

Seeing this, Samual got furious which made him stab and pour acid on his mother-in-law. Subsequently, he was also overpowered and beaten to death by villagers.

According to sources, the police reached the spot and sent the dead bodies for postmortem.

The police are investing the matter but no one has been detained yet, added sources.
