Three septic tank cleaners die in Tamil Nadu

Three workers lost their lives at Kancheepuram in Tamil Nadu while cleaning a septic tank at a private catering company. Further investigation is underway.

Kancheepuram (Tamil Nadu): In yet another tragic incident three people lost their lives in Tamil Nadu while cleaning a septic tank at a private catering company.

The workers were cleaning the tank in Kancheepuram without safety precautions. The workers were identified as Murugan (41), Bakkiyaraj (40) and Arumugam (45).

Sriperumbudur police and fire department were alerted about the incident and they rushed to the spot.

They recovered three bodies and sent them to the government hospital for post mortem.

Further investigation is underway.

In 2019, 6 people died due to a toxic gas attack in the same area of Sriperumbudur.
