The meeting took place at Parliament Library to discuss the aftermath of Pulwama terror incident where 40 security personnel have lost their lives.
"Terrorism in all forms should be contained. At the same time safety and security of the people should be ensured," said D Raja, CPI MP.
A resolution passed after the meeting condemns the dastardly terror act at Pulwama.
"We along without countrymen stand with the families in this hour of grief," the resolution said.
Of late, terrorism in India is being actively encouraged by the forces across the border.
"India has displayed both firmness and resilience in dealing with these challenges.
The entire nation speaks in one voice to express its determination to fight these challenges," said the resolution passed in the all-party meeting.
Senior Congress Leader Gulam Nabi Azad said," At this situation, all the opposition are with the security forces.
The perpetrators of thebaytack should get a befitting reply," said Azad.
Representatives of all political parties were present in the meeting.
Anand Sharma from the Congress was also present in the meeting.
Supriya Sule from NCP, JP Narayan Yadav from RJD, Prem Singh Chandumajra from Shiromani Akali Dal among others were present in the meeting.
Union Home Secretary Rajib Gauba gave a detailed presentation how did the incident took place at Pulwama.
According to the sources, Gauba, also briefed about the security measures being taken after the incident, bin the all party meeting.
