Woman commits suicide after killing her children in TN

A woman in Madurai killed her two children and before setting fire to herself in a dispute with her husband.

Madurai (Tamil Nadu): Tamilselvi, a woman hailing from Melavasal area of ​​Madurai district killed her children and attempted suicide due to a family dispute. Married to Pandi, hailing from the same area, the couple fought frequently over family issues.

On the night of September 27, the couple got into an argument which led to Tamilselvi pouring kerosene on her children Varshasree and Varnika Sri and set them on fire. She later set fire to herself.

The children died at the spot while Tamilselvi was admitted to the Madurai Rajaji Hospital with severe burns.

Tamilselvi later died after succumbing to her injuries.

Police arrived at the scene after being alerted about the incident. They have registered a case and a search for Tamilselvi's husband is on as he is believed to be the reason behind the suicide attempt.
