Driver rescued from truck hanging precariously over 100-ft ditch

A truck met with an accident and plunged into a quarry, fortunately hanging in balance without crashing down into a 100-ft ditch. The fire force unit of Villupuram rescued the driver after rescue operations which lasted a few hours.

Villupuram:In a daring rescue operation, a fire force unit in Villupuram district of Tamil Nadu rescued a truck driver, who was staring at large boulders near a mountain range, following an accident which left him hanging for his life.

According to reports, the accident occurred near a quarry, when the truck, loaded with boulders, lost its control and slid into 100 feet ditch.

Raguraman, the driver was hanging for his dear life when the truck got stuck amidst the rocks and hung in balance awaiting its plunge into the ditch.

Later, residents and workers near the area reported to the Tindivanam Fire Department about the incident.

Following this, the firefighters arrived at the scene and rescued the driver from the truck after hours of the rescue operation and the later was lifted back with the help of a crane.
