COVID-19: Chennai Trade Centre becomes a quarantine ward

In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus, the Chennai Trade Centre has been converted into a quarantine ward which accommodates 550 beds. The total number of coronavirus cases in the state rose to 1,204.

Chennai: Coronavirus prevalence is increasing day by day in Tamil Nadu. Health experts say that individuals who are suspected of coronavirus infection should be isolated and tested for coronavirus.

Those confirmed of infection should be treated and others sent home after monitoring for 28 days. Health experts say that by doing this the coronavirus infection spread can be prevented.

To this end, many isolation areas are being developed on behalf of the Chennai Corporation.

Thus the Trade centre in Nandambakkam in Chennai has been converted into a quarantine ward. This place accommodates 550 beds.

Chennai Corporation Commissioner Prakash visited the site and inspected it. Officers including Deputy Commissioner Kumaravel and Southern Region Deputy Commissioner Albie John Varghese also inspected the site.
