Coimbatore:The indomitable spirit of an 80-year-old woman from Tamil Nadu's Coimbatore district, who sells idlis at just one rupee each, has melted the hearts of many including those in the corridors of power. The District Collector has felicitated Kamalathal showing a token of support for her efforts.
The government came forward to issue her an LPG connection, with Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Steel Dharmendra Pradhan playing a pro-active role.
"I don't have anybody in my family. I am alone. I earn Rs 200 daily. I don't aim to earn money out of selling idli at this price," says Kamalathal.
Excuberant Kamalathal has been soaking in all the social media attention she has been getting ever since the infamous tweet by Anant Mahindra.
