Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami on Friday said that cases registered against anti-CAA protesters would be dropped.
"The Centre passed the Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2019 in Lok Sabha and it was passed in State Legislatures later. Following this, members of some organisations protested in various parts of the state. About 1,500 cases were registered against protestors during the period. These cases would be dropped," said Tamil CM Edappadi K Palaniswami, in Tenkasi.
