Chennai:Actor Rajinikanth for the first time on Thursday announced a clear stand on launching a new political party in Tamil Nadu mentioning that the party will contest in the 2021 assembly elections bringing in a change in the political arena of the state.
The complete announcement regarding the party will be made on December 31.
Rajinikanth introduced Thamizharuvi Manian as the overhaul supervisor and Arjunamurthy as the chief co-ordinator of the party. Though this proclamation has enthused the Rajini fans, it has raised eyebrows of the general public as to ‘Who’ this Arjuna Murthy could be.
Thamizharuvi Manian is widely known to the Tamil populace as a writer, orator and a Gandhian. But it has been changed into a point of debate right now, as to who this Arjunamurthy could be that is nominated as the chief coordinator, and what could be the reason for his appointment to a post on par with the party chief.
Who is Arjuna Murthy?
R. Arjnuna Murthy (59) is a native of Pudukottai district of Tamil Nadu and his father's name is L.P Ramasamy Kounder.
LP Ramasamy Kounder who took an active part in the Indian Independence struggle had a close friendship with the late king of the Pudukottai Samasthanam, Maharaja Sri Vijayaragu Nadha Thondaiman and the late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru. Kamaraj. Janata Salai, the very popular transport establishment of that period of time, was founded by LP Ramasamy Kaunder.

Arjuna Murthy is a well-known entrepreneur in India with on-hand experience and wide knowledge in umpteen numbers of fields such as commerce, Manufacturing and Tele-communication.
Arjuna Murthy's wife is Bama, who has a master's degree in English literature and is a close friend of the current Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. They have maintained their friendship right from their college days.
Arjuna Murthy set his foot in the food industry and started a food company called Gene during the day end of the year 1990. The company today has 8 factories across India.
He is also the founder of Softcom Pvt. Ltd., an NFC technology company, and is said to have initiated his political career as a political advisor to the late DMK senior leader Murasoli Maran and had been working with DMK MP, Dayanidhimaran too.
During the same period, he associated himself with the BJP as a result of his fascination for the RSS ideology.
Arjuna Murthy played a significant role in drafting the first election manifesto of the BJP in the state. This deep involvement and hard work brought him closer to the top managers of the BJP.
When the controversy over Karuppar Kootam - Kandasashti arose, the Tamil Nadu BJP claimed that all the steps taken to turn it into politics took place under the guidance of Arjunamurthy, who was then the head of the intellectual wing.
He is considered the mastermind behind the vel pilgrimage sponsored by the BJP and his influence started growing in the social network.
A person who has been tweeting in support of the BJP has overnight been nominated in the matinee idol's newly launched party as the chief coordinator. The BJP announced that Arjuna Murthy has since been relieved from all the responsibilities of the party.

Arjuna Murthy lauded as a technological expert is said to be managing the social network pages of the party.
Following his affiliation with Rajini, Arjuna Murthy has changed his Twitter debate page as 'now with the Leader' and recently posted a video saying, "I would like to express my many million regards and gratitude to the Leader."
