US Army trooper found Covid positive amid Yudh Abhyas in Rajasthan

As per reports, a 22-year-old American soldier, who reached Rajasthan to participate in the Indo-US joint military training exercise, has been found Covid positive. The bilateral training exercise is being conducted from February 8 to February 21 at Foreign Training Node at Mahajan Field Firing Ranges.

Bikaner:An American soldier participating in the 16th edition of the Indo-US joint military training exercise 'Yudh Abhyas' in Rajasthan has been found coronavirus positive on Tuesday. The name of the 22-year-old soldier has been mentioned in the list of Covid-19 positive patients maintained by Sardar Patel Medical College in Bikaner.

The 16th edition of the Indo-US joint military training exercise 'Yudh Abhyas' commenced at the Mahajan Field Firing Ranges in the western sector of Rajasthan on Monday.

However, Army spokesperson has not given any confirmation regarding the issue by saying that the report is still awaited.

Sardar Patel Medical College Principal and Hospital Superintendent said that they are probing the case.

He although stated that even if anyone is found Covid positive, the administration has made proper arrangements for isolation and the entire exercise is being conducted by following strict coronavirus norms and guidelines.

Over 240 US military soldiers have reached Rajasthan's Bikaner district to participate in the 15-day bilateral training exercise from February 8 to February 21.
