Tiger kills tigress as visitors watch on

A tiger named, Kumar attacked and killed tigress named Damini after breaking the barrier between their enclosures. The incident took place on January 2nd at Sajjangarh Biological Park in Rajasthan's Udaipur.

Jaipur:A tiger killed a tigress here at Biological Park in Udaipur's Rajasthan on Thursday after he barged into her enclosure. According to the Park officials, the male named Kumar was "aggressive" in nature and is kept in a separate enclosure adjacent to that of tigress Damini.

However, in the evening Kumar trespassed into Damini's enclosure after forcefully breaking the wired fencing and subsequently caught her by neck.

"The tiger is aggressive in nature. He barged into the enclosure of Damini and killed her after he caught her by the neck. There are some minor injuries on his body," said GV reddy forest official, Sajjanagarh Biological park.

According to reports, the tiger has now been confined to a holding area and a committee will be formed to carry out the post-mortem.
