Seven-year-old allegedly raped, murdered in Rajasthan

Jaipur:A seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped and murdered on Tuesday in Rajasthan's Vishwakarma industrial area.

The child had gone to play with her grandmother at her uncle's house, 300 meters away from her house at road No. 17 of Vishwakarma police station area, but did not return till late evening.

It is then the parents - both labourers - started searching for her and eventually filed a missing report with the police.

When the police started investigating the case, the body of the victim was recovered in suspicious condition at her uncle's house.

It is alleged that the victim was raped and then strangled to death.

Seeing the nature of the case, a Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team was called to the spot from where the team gathered evidence.

The victim's uncle was found in inebriated state, making him prime suspect in the case.

An investigation is underway in the case.
