Jodhpur:Bollywood actor Salman Khan has filed an application before the Rajasthan High Court seeking exemption from personal appearance and instead, being virtually present for the hearing regarding the blackbuck poaching case.
Advocate Hastimal Saraswat has presented the petition on behalf of Salman Khan before the bench of Chief Justice Indrajit Mohanty and Judge Dinesh Mehta.
While hearing the preliminary hearing, the Rajasthan High Court issued a notice to the state government and put the matter up for hearing again on Friday.
An appeal has been filed in the court of District and Sessions Judge, Jodhpur District by Salman Khan against the five-year sentence in the infamous Blackbuck poaching case in which he was ordered to appear personally and produce 437A bond.

After failing to appear personally in six consecutive hearings, the court has ordered Salman Khan to appear in person on February 6 against which Khan's advocate Hastimal Saraswat has filed a petition challenging the order saying that Salman is ready to appear in virtual form instead of appearing in person.
