Rape victim demands arrest of offenders

The rape victim said her cousin sister forced her to talk on the phone to her husband, following which many other men spoke to her and later threatened her that her conversation with all the men has been recorded and would be made public.

Barmer: A minor girl, who was allegedly raped by her cousin brother and other relatives one after the other few months ago, has been demanding the arrest of all the offenders for the past three months but only two out of seven have been arrested till date.

The victim told the media here that there are five more people who raped her on different occasions by blackmailing on the basis of an indecent picture of her's, which, she said was taken forcibly, by the accused.

She said her cousin sister forced her to talk on the phone to her husband, following which many other men spoke to her and later threatened her that her conversation with all the men has been recorded and would be made public.

They took the picture and used it as a blackmail tool to rape her one after the other on different occasions, she told the police.

Meanwhile, Anand Sharma, SP, Barmer said that two of the accused have been arrested and the police are also looking for others.

"They are truck drivers and travel on long routes but police are trying to arrest them," he said, adding that all allegations have been taken seriously and the probe is on.
