Bundi:Despite repeated warnings to avoid gathering and maintain social distance amid coronavirus outbreak, residents of Lakheri and Ramnagar village in Rajasthan's Bundi district attended a religiously gathering organised by a 'Tantrik' at a nearby temple.
Violating social distancing norms or lockdown measures put forward by the government after Prime Minster Narendra Modi announced 21-day lockdown following coronavirus outbreak, in the name of superstition, people from every age group gathered to take part in highly suprestitious event organised by 'Tantrik-Bhopa'.
As the crowd grew in numbers in the name of belief, Bhopa started promising to help gullible people get back their lost love, find a job, treat chronic illness, or buy a house with the help of magical chants and black magic.
India's rural population mired in superstition gets attracted to attend such events and same happened in this town of Rajasthan.
As per information recieved, the crowd grew and began beating drums keeping health concerns at bay and disobeying PM Modi's repetitive appeal to shun superstitions amid coronavirus outbreak.
