Ajmer (Rajasthan):With no vaccine available for the deadly coronavirus yet, a young school teacher in Rajasthan has written a letter to the state health minister, offering his body for medical research.
Dinesh Vaishnav, a resident of Kekri, teaches at the Manda school in the district. Vaishnav, who had earlier contributed three days' salary to the CM relief fund, also has been distributing ration to the needy during the lockdown.
Rajasthan teacher offers his body for COVID-19 related tests He then wrote a letter to state health minister Raghu Sharma, offering his body for medical research and coronavirus-related tests.
"As I have been afflicted with a long-standing backbone issue, I know the pain and suffering diseases cause to humans," he said.
"Both the Centre and state government are working hard towards stopping the spread of the disease. Even I wanted to contribute towards the cause. So, if the government feels they need to test possible medicines or vaccines on a human, I am ready to offer my body," he added.
Vaishnav further said that he would feel extremely fortunate if this helps in the fight against COVID-19.
