Rajasthan: Sadden over father's demise, woman jumps into burning pyre

A surprising incident has surfaced in the Barmer district of Rajasthan. Right here, saddened by the daddy’s loss of life from Corona, the daughter jumped into the burning pyre.

Barmer (Rajasthan): In a heart-wrenching incident, a woman in Rajasthan's Barmer district jumped into the burning pyre of her father and critically injured.

According to reports, 65-year-old Damodardas Sharda died due to Covid-19 infection on Tuesday morning.

He was admitted to the Royal government hospital in Barmer on Sunday. Following the loss of life of the deadly virus affected person, the hospital administration handed over the dead body to the deceased person's kin for the final rites, reports said.

The deceased's youngest daughter insisted on going contained in the crematorium in the course of the funeral, as there is no such thing as a male member in her household.

Suddenly the woman jumped into the burning pyre after being saddened over her father's death and critically injured, reports added.

On being informed about the incident, the police rushed to the spot and rescued the badly scorched woman to a government hospital and later she was referred to Jodhpur DHH for treatment.

Police said that the woman has over 70 per cent burn injury and her condition is said to be critical.
