Rajasthan: Man attempts suicide after being suspended from work

Upset over his suspension from duties, an employee of the electricity department in Bundi district of Rajasthan attempted suicide on Thursday, police said.

Bundi (Rajasthan): An employee of the electricity department in Bundi district of Rajasthan attempted suicide on Thursday, police said.

According to the police, Ajit Kumar who was working as a technical assistant was suspended from work a few days back.

Upset over his suspension from duties, Ajit attempted suicide by consuming poison and he wrote a suicide note blaming the officers of his department, police informed.

He was found lying unconscious at an intersection of the city, from where the police rushed him to the hospital.

He fought with some of his office colleagues and the matter was also reported to us. Following this, he was suspended from work, police added.

"I am implicated unnecessarily without any fault, so I have decided to end my life," said his suicide note.

The police tried to take the technical assistant's statement but failed as he is still not out of danger.

The police are waiting for his statement after which further action will be initiated in the matter.
