"The Central government's attempt to politicise the incident is wrong. We are sympathetic to the victims and our Chief Minister himself is monitoring the case," said Subhash Garg, who contested on a Rashtriya Lok Dal ticket from Bharatpur and is now a part of the state government led by Congress leader Ashok Gehlot

Garg added, "I agree that such incidents shouldn't happen, and if they do, they deserve condemnation. One should learn from such experiences."
