Rajasthan engineer develops software to detect COVID-19 using X-ray scan

In the view of increasing cases of COVID-19, a software engineer from Rajasthan claims to have developed a software that can detect coronavirus within five seconds using an X-ray scan of the suspected patient. He said that if the software is approved by the government, he will share the technology free of cost.

Ajmer (Rajasthan): Divyansh Bansal, a software engineer from Dehradun Technical University, claims to have developed a software that can detect COVID-19 within five seconds using an X-ray scan of the suspected patient.

Bansal, a resident of Teja Chowk in Ajmer district, along with his two friends, has created a software that can test as many as 1,000 people in just five minutes.

Bansal says that the software will not only reduce testing costs but will also reduce the risk of exposure to healthcare professionals. He claims that the software is not only capable of detecting coronavirus but pneumonia as well.

He said that if the software is approved by the government, he will share the technology free of cost.

According to Bansal the procedure for the identification of coronavirus is very simple, and a doctor can immediately get the result simply by uploading an X-ray scan of the suspected person in the software.
