Jaipur: Congress chief whip in Rajasthan Assembly Mahesh Joshi has moved to withdraw the SLP (Special Leave Petitions) filed in the Supreme Court seeking cancellation of membership of 19 Congress MLAs, including Sachin Pilot, who had turned rebellious last year.

As per sources, the petition to withdraw the SLP is likely to be filed in the top court on Tuesday.

While hearing the SLP of the chief whip a few days back, the Supreme Court had asked former deputy CM Sachin Pilot, other MLAs and the central government to reply on the matter.

It is to be noted here that the Congress faction led by Ashok Gehlot was involved in a bitter political tussle with the Sachin Pilot group last year and Joshi had moved an application before Rajasthan Assembly Speaker, asking him to disqualify 19 Congress MLAs led by Pilot.
