Jaipur:In a major push to infrastructure development in the desert state, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Wednesday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth more than Rs 5500 crore in the state. He emphasised that the BJP government is focusing on modern infrastructure development in the state.
"I congratulate the people of Rajasthan for these development projects. Our government is focusing on providing modern infrastructure in Rajasthan," he said. Earlier in the day, PM Modi offered prayers at the Shrinathji temple in Nathdwara town of Rajasthan's Rajsamand district.
In a statement drafted by the PMO, officials mentioned that roads and railway help in facilitating the movement of goods and services, boosting trade and commerce and improving the socio-economic conditions of the people in the region.
Among the road projects, PM Modi will upgrade the two-lane road in Rajsamand and Udaipur and redeveloped the Udaipur railway station. Modi also inaugurate three national highway projects, including 114-km long six lane Udaipur to Shamlaji section of NH-48, 110-km long widening and strengthening to 4 lane with paved shoulder of Bar-Bilara-Jodhpur Section of NH-25, and 47 km long two lane with paved shoulder section of NH 58E.
