Jaipur (Rajasthan): Ahead of the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr which will be celebrated across the world on May 24 and 25, clerics have appealed to Muslims to celebrate the festival at home and avoid shopping and donate the money to the poor instead.
Rajasthan Chief Qazi Khalid Usmani has also issued an appeal to the people regarding prayers on Eid-ul-Fitr. He asked the people to offer prayers at their home, and instead of spending money on shopping, donate for the welfare of disadvantaged.
"It is very important to stay at home to win the battle against COVID-19. Offer Eid and other prayers at home only. Follow the instructions given by the government and the administration," he said.
"Sanitise yourself and your home. Wear the mask and follow social distancing," he further added.
