Bikaner (Rajasthan): Unidentified miscreants opened fire outside the house of the nephew of a BJP leader, Narendra Surana, in Bikaner on Monday evening.
The miscreants also demanded a ransom and threatened to kill the man if the amount was not paid.
After the incident, the family informed the police who reached the spot and cordoned the area.
The BJP leader, Narendra Surana, said that earlier also these kinds of threats have come, which they ignored.
The miscreants had also made a WhatsApp call and demanded a ransom of Rs 5 lakh.

Surana further added that these people are becoming fearless and they have threatened to kill the whole family. He said that after the firing incident the miscreants again called him and threatened him.
ASI Gauri Shankar of Gangashahar police station said that after getting information about the incident, he collected evidence regarding the incident.
Along with this, CCTV footage has also been accessed and they have started a manhunt to arrest the miscreants.
Meanwhile, State BJP President Satish Poonia after getting the information spoke to Director General of Police on the matter and urged him to take quick action.
