Married woman brutally murdered in Rajasthan

A newly married woman was brutally murdered with eyes gouged and tongue butchered in Rajasthan's Dhaulpur. Postmortem report is awaited to establish if rape was committed.

Dhaulpur (Rajasthan): A 26-year-old newly married woman was found brutally murdered at Nagla village under Saipau police limits in Rajasthan's Dhaulpur on Thursday.

The deceased woman has been identified as Pinky Kushvaha, wife of Yogesh Kumar of Bharatpur locality. The woman's eyes gouged and tongue butchered and there were injuries on her body.

According to police, the woman had gone to her father's house yesterday and on Thursday morning it was reported that the woman has been kidnapped. After a frantic search, a police team led by Saipau police station CO, Vijay Kumar, the woman was found lying dead near a field of the same village.

"She had ornaments but, clothes were removed. Postmortem report is awaited to establish if rape was committed to the woman. But it is clear that she has been brutally killed by some miscreants. The injury marks on her body suggested that she was dragged by the accused persons before they killed her and the accused persons dumped her in a field," CO, Vijay Kumar said.

"The black mark on her neck suggests that she was strangulated to death. Her eyes were gouged and tongue butchered. We have sent the body to Saipau Royal hospital for postmortem. We are also examining the CCTV footage from all connected areas for clues about the abduction," Kumar added.

"On Wednesday, my wife had gone to her father's house in Nagla. On the same night, I had tried to talk to her several times but her mobile phone was switched off. On Thursday morning her family members informed me about her missing. Pinky's body was found in the field after a frantic search. Some miscreants have abducted her and brutally killed her," said, Yogesh, deceased's husband.

Meanwhile, police have launched a manhunt to nab the accused persons and also detained the family members of the deceased for interrogation, sources said.
