Jaipur:The Rajasthan police received a threat message against CM Ashok Gehlot. In a phone call to the social media cell of Rajasthan Police’s integrated emergency response centre, a person threatened to kill Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot “with a bomb” on Thursday.
However, the man identified as Lokesh Kumar Meena of Papadgaon under Jamwaramgarh police limits in Jaipur district has been arrested by Rajasthan police today.
Man arrested for threatening to kill Rajasthan CM 'with bomb' Speaking to ETV Bharat, South Jaipur, DCP, Manoj Kumar said," Rajasthan police had arrested Lokesh Kumar from Papadgaon for threatening to kill Rajasthan CM Gehlot using a bomb. Lokesh had made the threat in a call to the Rajasthan Police social media cell in Jaipur on July 9. A case was registered against him at the Jamwaramgarh police station and he was subsequently arrested."
"We traced the accused using technical and human intelligence. He is a competitive exam aspirant but no criminal record. His actions seem to have been a prank. He allegedly made the threat in a call that he made from his cell phone to the Rajasthan Police's social media helpdesk. He has been interrogated and further investigation is underway," Kumar said.
