Pali (Rajasthan): It's being three days that the swarms of desert locusts become a threat to the farmers in Rajasthan's Pali.
District Collector Dinesh Chand Jain said that the farmers of eight villages in Pali district are the most affected by the swarms of desert locusts.

The locusts have almost finished the crops in these eight villages, he added.
Therefore, the administration has decided to provide compensation to the affected farmers.
At the same time, the administration has made it clear that only those will get the amount who have lost more than 33 per cent of crops.
However, the District Collector informed that efforts are constantly being made by the administration to control the locusts which came in Rohat area for the last 2 days.
Besides this, he said that relief teams carrying equipment have been rushed to the villages to spray high-intensity malathion insecticide to prevent the spread of locusts in those areas.
On Wednesday more than 40 tractors have been operated to spray across the villages of Pali.
However, relief teams have been deployed in other villages as well to prevent the spread of locusts in other villages to ruin the crops.

Jain told the media that officials are being asked to make a report on the incident and submit it at the earliest.
So that the administration can take appropriate actions against it as well as to provide compensation to the affected farmers.
