Kota: Railway tracks submerged due to heavy downpour; 50 trains cancelled

Trains passing through Kota and nearby areas were either cancelled or diverted due to heavy water-logging in Rajasthan's Jhalawar district.

Kota (Rajasthan):Several trains were cancelled or diverted due to water-logging at railway tracks in Rajasthan's Jhalawar district, as heavy rains continue to pound the state.

According to reports, the city experience incessant rains and flood-like situation especially in Kota. More than 50 trains have been diverted into the region.

Due to water-logging in Railway tracks near Chaumhala in Jhalawar district, the Delhi-Mumbai rail route has been blocked. Moreover, trains from Nagda to Mathura and few other trains are stranded at the station.

To reduce the inconvenience of the passengers, the railway is continuously monitoring the route and diversion of the trains.

Trains going from Mumbai to Delhi have been diverted via Nagda-Ujjain-Bhopal and trains going to Mumbai from Delhi are being diverted via Mathura-Jhansi.

Railway officials are taking care of the passengers and as soon as water from the track will be clear, after checking the services will be restored.
