Luni (Rajasthan): In the midst of a global pandemic, one more problem of locust swarm haunts people in Saraswati Nagar, which is a posh area of the city. To drive away the locusts, the locals tried cheering and bursting crackers, but none of it worked and the locusts flew on their own after around for 24 hours, eating the leaves of many trees.
Residents said that they sought help from the administration but no government department helped them. At the same time, a swarm of locust reached the area around Kudi Bhagtasani, Madhuban Housing Board and Basni, which caused chaos there. A local, Jagdish Nahata, said that after the locusts came in the area, he started giving information to the departments concerned. He called the police first, after this the information was given to the control room.
