Jaipur: Woman found positive for corona virus after death

A 22-year-old woman who committed suicide on May 4 in Rajasthan's Jaipur, was found coronavirus positive after death on Tuesday. As soon as the test report of the dead woman turned out to be positive, her house was sealed and all the family members were admitted to a nearby quarantine centre.

Jaipur:A woman here who committed suicide on May 4, was found coronavirus positive after death prompting the authorities to take up measures on large scale to contain the spread of the virus.

As per reports, the 22-year-old woman hailing from Purana Jalupura area of the district committed suicide on Monday due to family and financial problems.

As soon as the test report of the dead woman turned out to be positive on Tuesday, her house was sealed and all the family members were admitted to a nearby quarantine centre by the police authorities.

According to police, after the post-mortem of the body, the cremation was done as per the rituals by the municipal authorities.

The police authorities are engaged in finding out the travel and contact history of the deceased woman.

It is being reported that the woman got married two and a half years ago and since then she has been a victim of domestic abuse. Frequent quarrel with her husband was also one of the reasons that forced her to take such an extreme step.

According to the health ministry, after 38 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Rajasthan, the total number of cases in the state surged to 3,099 on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Jaipur had the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 1036 confirmed infections.
