Head constable commits suicide in Rajasthan's Dausa

A head constable in Rajasthan's Sainthal police station allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of the police station. However, the exact reason behind the extreme step is yet to be ascertained. The police have registered a case and are investigating into the matter.

Dausa (Rajasthan): A policeman allegedly committed suicide in Rajasthan's Dausa district on Friday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Giriraj, working as a head constable with the Sainthal police station.

According to sources, a police officer who found him hanging informed the other officials. Following this, others rushed to the spot and shifted the body for postmortem to Dausa government hospital.

Giriraj took the extreme step inside the police station premises, the sources said, adding that no suicide note was recovered from the spot.

However, the exact reason behind the extreme step is yet to be ascertained. Meanwhile, the police have registered a case and are investigating into the matter.

The body will be handed over to the deceased's family members after a post-mortem examination, sources added.
