Barmer (Rajasthan):Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Sunday has claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party is definitely forming the government in Delhi.
Addressing reporters at an interaction in Barmer, Shekhawat said, "We are working with the commitment to provide clean drinking water to every household, by 2024. This is our priority."
The frontline of border security is also working for the accessible drinking water for BSF personnel, he stated.
The Minister also underscored that providing water for every household was one of BJP's poll promises and added that the party will work towards fulfilling it.
"There are over 18 crores such household where we have to provide water," he said.
Also, he expressed concern about the loss of millions of rupees to farmers due to locust attack in western Rajasthan and said the government is making every effort to control it.
Rajasthan is facing its worst locust attack in six decades with the insects attacking crops spread over an area of around 3.60 lakh hectares.
Shekhawat called the locust outbreak a natural disaster. Adding to the point he said, to fight the locust attack, the Government has taken every possible step, but it has been continuing in the area for a long time.
Also, meeting with Airforce will be held the day after, and we asked for good equipment and fogging machines which also has been imported from England. Out of which 10 machines have arrived and are under progress, he added.
In the coming time, efforts are being made to deal with locusts more thoroughly.
